Effects of Milk on Your Health

In recent years milk and dairy in general has come under increasing scrutiny.

Monsanto Lawyers kill Fox News story on Milk

If that one doesn’t wake you up, then try this one from Robert Cohen, the author of “Milk, the Deadly Poison”:

Forgetting about all of this, if you just think about it from a common sense point of view, taking into account some basic principles you learned in biology class, you’ll see that cow milk is not appropriate for human consumption.

First off mammals, the family that the homo sapien species  (humans) belong to, do not consume milk after they are weaned off. You do not see that anywhere in nature. Humans are the only mammals that continue to consume milk beyond infancy and even puberty.

Second, no one out there goes to drink someone else’s milk, that is the milk of another species. You don’t see tigers drinking wolf milk, or sheeps drinking chimpanze milk, or cow’s drinking deer milk, or deers drinking elephant milk, etc. I’m sorry but that’s just plain dumb. And yes, I did consume dairy products for the first 35 years of my life.

The protein in milk, cascin, forms a guey solution in human stomachs and is not really digestable by human consumption.

Calcium is not absorbably in presence of protein and milk is basically liquid protein.

The hormone rBGH or recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone is passed on from cows to humans and is bio active in humans causing various health issues including early puberty.

The rBGH also causes udder infection in cows and the puss from the udder finds its way into the milk as well. Yummmy. These infections are the reason why non-organic cows must be treated with antibiotics.

rBGH also creates painful and crippling joint disease in cows and that’s simply inhumane. It also causes the udders to grow painfully large and beyond normal capacity.

Still think milk does a body good?

But what about organic milk?

Of course if you have to drink milk, then I would highly recommend that you do not even go near any milk that is not organic. Also organic milk has the added benefit that the cows are fed with organic feed and you’ll be saving your body the added toxic effects of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, etc.

From what I have read it seems like goat milk is more closely available to human body than cow milk. Another thing that you want to keep in mind is that you should go for raw milk because the process of pasteurization destroys much of the protein and good bacteria that are in milk. And if you are going to go for raw milk, then I would highly recommend that you make sure that it is from a trustworthy source, i.e. that you check out the farm and the sanitary conditions that the milk is produced in and make sure that the milk is very fresh to avoid the potential possibility of food poisoning.

To recap my recommendations:

  1. Avoid milk and dairy products alltogether
  2. Or if you have to drink milk, then go for fresh raw goat milk from a sanitary and trustworthy source.

To your health,

Farhad

Vita Mix Blender & Vita Mix Code for Free Shipping

VitaMix is one of the 2 best blenders on the market today (the other being BlendTec K3).

Yes, the BlendTec is an awesome blender and the only rival that VitaMix has on the market. It’s a bit more powerful and it has the keypad, but on some reviews I have read that it’s fairly loud also.

For older adults the keypad is nice because it creates consistent results every time. I prefer the flexibility of VitaMix of choosing the speed and duration of the blending process myself.

Victoria Boutenko, the raw food proponent also recommends VitaMix, but they are both great blenders for sure.

You can use the link below to get Free Shipping ($25 value) within U.S.

There is no doubt that most of the packaged food we buy at the grocery store is full of harmful additives, preservatives, and artificial flavors and colors, but once in a while you come across some innocent sounding names that may not sound so suspiscious but upon investigation you find out that they are quite harmful.

One such chemical is potassium bromate. You can do a simple search on Google for this chemical and you’ll find a ton of resources.

The book “Skinny Bitch” describes potassium bromate as: “Found in baked goods, can cause cancer, kidney, and nervous system disorders. Banned worldwide except for U.S. and Japan”.

Other researchers know about these effects as well.

  1. Potassium bromate is known to cause kidney damage and is toxic to the kidneys. 1
  2. It does also cause oxidative damage to the mammalian DNA and can cause large deletions in our DNA. 2
  3. The EPA lists the potential health effects of water containing bromate as “increased risk of cancer”. 3
  4. I wonder what other health effects this wonder “food additive” that is considered as “generally safe” might have.

Shouldn’t the FDA know about this? Apparently everyone else does. Shouldn’t the FDA protect us from such chemicals in our foods? Granted there are thousands of chemicals that are created each year and enter our food supply and the FDA does not have the budget nor the man power to research these chemicals. Apparently sending soldiers to the other side of the world to kill people is more important than protecting the health of Americans.

Apparently potassium bromide is also found in processed pumpkin seeds which I did not know until I came across this YouTube video:

Potassium bromate is supposedly used to “strengthen bread dough and improve the quality of flour”, but now it is turning up in Pringles Potato Chips:

According to the last video, it can also be found in dried seaweed from Japan.

So if this information is all over the place and in the media, is it safe to assume that the FDA knows about it? And if they know about it and do nothing, wouldn’t that make them an accomplice to poisoning Americans?

Now I don’t want to get into some kinda crazy conspiracy theory again, but the medical and pharmaceutical industries are definitely having a grand ol’ time profitting from all the nerve damages, kidney failures, and cancers in our society, and I’m sure that you can put 2 and 2 together.

It is interesting that just a day after I started looking into this matter, a friend of mine sends me an email with the title “Photographs of the Year-2008″ and guess what’s in there. Check out this photograph and the caption:

“Department of Water and Power workers are emptying out bales of plastic balls in the Ivanhoe reservoir in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9, 2008. Department of Water and Power released about 400,000 black plastic 4-inch balls as the first installment of approximately 3 million to form a floating cover over 7 acres of the reservoir to protect the water from sunlight. When sunlight mixes with the bromide and chlorine in Ivanhoe’s water, the carcinogen bromate can form. (Irfan Khan/AP)”

Saving us from Bromate

Saving us from Bromate

So apparently the Los Angeles DWP knows about it, but not the FDA

So what can you do?

Ultimately only YOU are responsible for your health.

So what can you do to protect yourself against potassium bromate and other food additives in general?

  1. Make your own bread. This will be one of the most sastisfying and healthful changes you’ll make to your diet. When you make your own flour, you know what you are putting in there. YOU make the choice and YOU have the power. When you give that power away to someone else to decide what goes in your food and ultimately in your body, then you are at their mercy.
  2. Read labels and check the ingredients of the foods that you eat.
  3. Look up and research the chemicals that you are not familiar with to see what they are and where they are used and what their possible adverse health effects might be.
  4. In my opinion the best thing you can do for your health is to adopt a raw, organic, vegan diet and bypass the entire processed food industry alltogether.

Secrets of living to be 102?

Scientists are constantly studying centenarians, that’s people who live to be 100 or over a 100 years old. We want to know their secrets of staying young and living longer so that we can be just like them.

Here is one example you’ll find in Houston, Texas:Hedayat Razaman was born in Iran on January 12th, 1904, before WWI, penicilin, cars, and even washing machines.

 http://www.searchles.com/channels/show/4756

So what are his secrets?

  1. No red meat (diet)
  2. Plenty of fruits and vegetables (diet)
  3. No alcohol (diet)
  4. Work out 6 days a week (Exercise)
  5. Gardening (Physical Activity)
  6. And probably most importantly, a loving and supportive wife and family (Healthy relationships)

Not as hard or complicated as you thought, huh?

I bet he doesn’t pump his body full of drugs either.

Father & Son…

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine sent this to me recently and I found it to be rather inspirational so I thought I’d share it with you:

A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a heart condition, says ‘Yes’. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Ironman together.’

To which, his father said ‘Yes’ .

For those who didn’t know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island .

Father and son went on to complete the race together. View this:

Highway of Life

A few months ago I was driving and suddenly as I was looking at the curve of the highway ahead of me and saw all the cars on the road ahead, and had an epiphany1.

I realized how much life mirrors a highway. We are all on the same road (spiritual evolution), headed in the same direction (our Christ consciousness or God Realization).

Cars representing the amount of stuff, wealth, or baggage that we carry around with ourselves on this road. Some are driving in their Mercedes, or Toyotas, or Bentlies, or Hummers, or Ferraris, or in my case Hyundai Accents.

Some of us are taking an active part in accelerating our spiritual growth by taking part in some kind of spiritual tradition, organized or otherwise, and it could be said that those people are in the “fast lane”.
Some are taking the time in the slow lane.
Some are just cruising along in the passenger seat or the back seat.
Some are stranded on the side of the highway; may be they have a challenge they have in their life that they are trying to fix before getting back on track. May be that challenge is part of their evolution.

Then there are those who have taken an exit and gotten lost in the side streets, i.e. getting addicted to illeagal or psychiatric drugs or alcohol.
May be they are wrapped up on some video game, fantasy football, Dungeons & Dragons, or some other fantasy for 3 days straight.
May be they spend their time in casinos voluntarily handing over whatever the taxman has left of their hard-earned dollars.

May be they spend all their time working at a job they get no satisfaction from, and then come home and spend the rest of their time on reality tv and various series designed to get them hooked while someone else steals their country away.

There are many hooks, distractions, and traps on the highway of life.

But in any case, we are all part of this journey and we are on this road together, so let us show each other more compassion and respect, and lend each other a helping hand when possible.

God bless.

Hello world!

Hello everyone,

Finally after a few years of procrastinations and deliberations and Q&A I got my first blog up and running.
I am at the same time working on my first website (www.farhadkazemi.com) which I started a couple of weeks ago. Things are going pretty good and ideas just keep coming to me.

As our Chinese friends have been saying for millenia, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”. I figured that if I’m going to be coaching people back to health, or in business, or life in general, then I better start leading by example and take that first step. As they said in The Secret, you don’t have to see the whole stair case; just take the first step.

So often in life we get caught up in our own mental debate that we never make that first decision to start. If you wait like I did for many years to get everything right and see the whole plan before starting to take action, then nothing will happen, and your plans, projects, and dreams will never take shape.

I was just talking to my cousin in Germany a couple days ago and he told me that he wants to do something, and after a couple of questions he admitted that he likes to write. Then he presented me with his own “mental debate” that he is interested in it, but he was never good at it, but he likes it, but he doesn’t know in which language to write, when to write, how often to write, etc., etc. After a few of my encouragements he agreed that he would just start writing, for himself, that way there would be no fear of being evaluated or judged.

We all hate to be judged, specially when we create something that is so personal to us as writing.

Release and let go of your fears of being judged.

You are you.

You are valuable.

Take the first step.

The life of your dreams is waiting for you.

Just take the first step.

I have taken mine.
